Facial : Rosette Hello Kitty ~limited edition

A cute packaging, girly, natural collagen, Japan products, oil free cleanser, what else? Aren’t these all what a girl want? a cute facial packaging to stand on our bathroom (to cheer up the bathroom mood maybe :P) or maybe for travelling? Travelling with these products will absolutely make you look feminine, cuter  and of course make others jealous (is it that good?:)
So what are they? what are these products that can make one of my bestie cannot resist on them :P , and the one who introduce me this product and eagerly ask me to put this on my blog hahaha..(just kidding…LOL)
Rosette Hello Kitty is the answer. Rosette has introduced a limited edition collection with a Hello Kitty theme (for Hello Kitty fans…here you go) Obviously, the packaging is what appeals the most on these cute pieces. The collection consists of two cleansers, one for normal skin, one for acne, a facial peel, and a 4 in 1 moisturizer.
Rosette Hello Kitty Collagen Wash
Rosette-Hello-Kitty-Collagen-Wash-1
It is a foaming facial cleanser that contains natural collagen from Japanese brand, Rosette. It’s a mineral oil free cleanser that creates mounds of rich, soft foam to cleanse skin, moisturizer it, and make your face bright and happy again plus hey it smells like apple and has cool Hello Kitty packaging, that’s enough to make anyone a convert. (hahaha…)
The product is a typical foaming Asian cleanser that removes dirt, makeup, and oil while leaving skin super squeaky clean. A little drop goes a very long way at creating endless bubbles! It feels slick on your face as you scrub away, that would be the collagen, and leaves your face quite bright after use.
Rosette Hello Kitty Apple Gommage
clip_image002[4]
A gommage is a gentle exfoliator that isn’t quite your typical scrub. It’s not grainy, it’s not sugary but it is none the less considered an exfoliator of sorts. Gommages are commonly known as facial peels. The basic idea is to apply the product onto dry skin and rub it away. The rubbing action helps to rid your skin of dead skin cells.
Rosette Hello Kitty Apple Gommage is a gentle facial peel. It’s scented like crisp apples (pls don’t eat it) and makes me feel extra soft after use. It’s a typical gommage in the fact that’s it’s a gel formula. Applying a quarter size amounts to dry face and massage in. As massage the product begins to break up and pill into small balls (you can see close up action of this effect in photos below). This is NOT skin just the product “peeling” away. After use my skin feels noticeably softer and squeaky clean.

Overall, it’s a rather nice little peel. As mentioned above I really can never tell if it’s doing much for me. My skin at the moment is quite normal however if I was flaky or dry I do find I need to use a scrub rather than a peel to really slough away dry, dead skin. I actually do like this over a regular grainy formula as I find regular scrubs of this type tend to dry my skin out so this is nice for as my skin is behaving nicely as of late! ---> I got this review from others blog :)
Rosette Hello Kitty Acne Wash

Rosette Hello Kitty Acne Wash contains Sulfur and licorice extract, and it is a form of facial acne formulation. Leaves Grapefruit + Mint Scent smells after cleansing.
Cleansing foam made from vegetable and palm and skin-friendly :)
Medicinal ingredients and licorice extract sulphur, absolutely safe for sensitive skin people.
My friend bought this one as she has a quite sensitive skin, although she love the collagen packaging better >.< poor her… and will complain to the product designer then :P
Rosette Hello Kitty Hyaluronic Acid Gel
clip_image004[6]

Rosette Hello Kitty Hyaluronic Acid Gel is free of fragrance and mineral oil and acts as a lotion, essence, emulsion, and cream. The Japanese and most Asian countries are big on several step skin care systems so this actually produces the same results as you would get using the one product rather than hauling out four.

How to use:
● After washing in the morning or evening, take a pearl-size amount of this product, massage it on face for about 2 minutes.
●  Use a little extra if you have dry skin.

For Hello Kitty’s lover or anyone who never tried an Asian foaming cleanser before and want to try it, let these Hello Kitty rocks it up :) a super great products to start with… and also for anyone who love scented skincare, you will absolutely love this apple scent as it is addicting, calming and yummyy (pls don’t eat it as I mentioned it before :P)
Feel free to ask us how to purchase these products, WE SELL THEM :)

Chinese Festival : Zongzi (粽子)

Another year has passed and here we are again, it’s Zong Zi( 粽子) time. Zongzi Zong zi is made of glutinous rice stuffed with different fillings and wrapped in bamboo or reed leaves, then you need to boil it for hours. Usually zong zi is traditionally eaten during the Dragon Boat Festival (Duan Wu).
Actually zong zi is one of many traditional Chinese foods that are intended to honor either the Gods or divine persons in history. This meant to honor Qu Yuan (340-278 BC), a famous Chinese poet from the kingdom of Chu who lived during the Warring States period.
Qu Yuan
Qu Yuan was a famous poet who was also concerned about the fate of his government. Unfortunately his stature aroused the jealousy of the king, who banished him to a remote area. The poet despaired of the government and its policies. When the state's capital was captured by enemies, he committed suicide by drowning himself in the Miluo River (on May 5th according to the Chinese lunar calendar). The Chinese people felt this loss deeply, as he was a much beloved poet. Local folk searched for him in the river, meanwhile dropping dumplings of glutinous rice wrapped in bamboo or reed leaves into the river in order to keep the fishes from attacking Qu Yuan's body.
Qu Yuan02Since that time, it has been customary on this day to enjoy Zong Zi dumplings as a memorial to the patriotic poet.
Making zong zi need some hand skill as well, because if you didn’t tie it well, the filling will drop out while you boil them. Besides that, patience is a must as well haha…because you need to boil them for at least 5 hours (that’s what we do at home). I always love to see how my mom wrap them one by one…she have that skill and she did it very well and very fast. I tried it before but failed >.<
Months before this festival, mom always buy duck eggs and soak them in damp salted charcoal to make them become salted duck egg (mom only use the egg yolk).
Mom’s zong zi recipes and wrap skill are passed down through families. That’s why the most delicious zong zi for our family are always zong zi from my grandma and my mom. (Really going to miss my grandma’s zong zi. We don’t have any chance to taste her zong zi anymore – my grandma just passed away last month T^T)
For us, glutinous rice must be lightly precooked by stir frying them with dark and light sauce first to make it tastier and mouth-watery looked.
The filling used in mom’s zong zi :
- mung beans, chinese barbeque pork, chinese sausage, salted duck eggs, dried shrimp, chinese black mushrooms and chili-padi.
Being far away from home, luckily it is very convenient to buy zong zi nowadays. However homemade zong zi by mom is the best (home sweet home). Anyway I got two zong zi from my boss’s wife and she is Chinese Indonesia and her zong zi’s taste is quite similar as my hometown’s taste. She gave all of us two zong zi for each person (she is a very good cook and kind, because she love to share her foods with us haha…btw thanks a lot:), one is traditional one (like mom’s zong zi) and the other one is nyonya zong zi (haven’t taste this one, going to eat it on 16 this Wed :P~ to merries zong zi’s festival hehehe)
