Myday : Rainbow after the rain

rain1It’s raining again…no wonder last few weeks Orchard road magically become Orchard river. I hate thunders cause they woke me up in the middle of the night, but as usual, I always easily felt asleep again huehue…

Some hate rain, some love it…Like myself, I hate it on weekday because you will fell extra lazy to wake up while it was raining and you will get wet before reach the office :( . But sometimes I love it…raining always remind me back the memories, I still remember the day in Sydney, just sitting near the balcony enjoying the sound of the rain and sipping the hot chocolate….It was just awesome… And one more memory that I love is I saw a couple kissing in the Sydney Central Park inside their umbrella (I saw them from the bus which happened to pass by) ~ just so romantic,sounds like one of the script in Korean drama right :P)

I found some cool pictures of raining days and one poem that I love to share with ♥

Rainbow after the rain

In hard times painted of hurt,
frustration of life, discouraging
experience and people around,
Life with full of adversity, struggle
everywhere encounter, never
ending passage of different stages of life battle,
Tears falling like rain, can't dried it
with affection, can't pamper with love,
the hurt deep as an ocean blow up
like angry wave,
How long it goes in life?

Every dessert of life has something
can't explain but there's a beauty
in it, every side of things has an opposite,
happiness to sadness, hate to love,
hardship to enjoyable life, in this
we have life to hope and believe that we
someday in time we experience the life
of good things and pleasurable day
of time life, the rainbow after
the rain of life, enjoy it.

Sharing : Unique concept in jail management and rehabilitation

Using a discipline and dancing as methods of rehabilitation is absolutely new and it only can be found in Cebu, Philippines which is called “Cebu Provincial Detention and Rehabilitation Centre (CPDRC)”.  After  I saw the video of how they imitated “Michael Jackson, Thriler”, I’m just curious and want to know more bout the video and found out that all of them are people who are still in rehab program.
All I ever though that a rehab place is not a place that you can enjoy or maybe said that a jail is a place that no one want to go or let’s say that it is just like a “earth’s hell”.  But who ever though that this brilliant Byron Garcia came out to this super unique concept. Actually he can easily get a public comfortable  career as he is a son of former Cebu Governor. But still he chose to be with the thugs of the society, the dangerous men of society and even in a thankless and demeaning job.
01 I like the way he think about rehabilitation…
- Rehabilitation is not rehabilitation when it is anchored on punitive action. Byron believes that rehabilitation has to be anchored on compassion so that a sinner can be separated from the sin, so the degenerate from the culture and humanity be regenerated into the humane.
"Rehabilitation has to be anchored on bringing out the best in men instead of the worst in men", Byron says. Certain that his new concept of Rehabilitation in jails is effective,  Byron is confident that its impact would eventually spill over into a rehabilitated society. If rehabilitation is ineffective in jails, then any society into which hardened criminals are released and re-integrated, seals itself and closes in on its doom. "If we make jails a living hell for these inmates, then we might just be turning out devils once they are released" Byron says! -

Sharing : Renews marriage vows on their 72 years anniversary

“May this day shine eternally in your lives.
May it add brilliance to every achievement and cast a divine light over any misfortune.
May you care for each other in all sadness.
May you give cheer to each other.
May you give vitality to each other in all undertakings.
May all that is virtuous, beautiful and honest, remain with you always”
revow
A wish from a dying man, Vernon McAlister,to renew his wedding vows with his 72 years beloved wife, Sue. (ooo…so romantic). A simple ceremony has been held at Hospice of Upstate in Anderson Country, South Carolina, USA.
revow02
After having a dream that his wife wanted to marry him again, Mr McAlister asked the nurses to help him stay alive a few more days so they could celebrate their 72nd anniversary together.
Mr McAlister broke his hip three weeks ago and doctors expect him to live just a few more days. They married when he was 20 (now 93) and she was 15( now 87) and they first met when they worked on Vernon’s father’s farm in South Carolina.
revow03
'My father told me she would make a good wife,' he said.
'I couldn’t have imagined how right he was. She is just purely wonderful. She is a jewel.' (ooo..so sweet :)
Two years ago Sue survived a battle with stomach cancer and credits her husband's support as crucial.
Mrs McAlister said: 'He has taken care of me my whole life.'
'He has loved me and respected me and cherished me the way he said he would when I was just a young girl and he was just a young man.
'There is nothing to be nervous about when you are walking toward the person you love with your whole heart.'
Mr McAlister is a retired agronomist and the couple have five children together.
Their sons Tony, Phil, Van and Don McAlister and daughter Anita Floyd were all present at the ceremony.
'They are a testament to love,' said Floyd.
The ceremony was conducted by family friend Bill French who told the couple they were an example to the world.
'When you took those vows all those years ago no one could have known how long that walk together would be,' said Mr French.
'You have fulfilled your promise and God is smiling.'
It is very rare to see young people to do such commitment. Divorce and marriage seems like a very common things now ( I’m a young people:P, I wish to have an eternal love like they do, still hold hand in hand together on our old time :)
This story just remind me of my grandpa en grandma…they love each other as well until their last day :)
“Although death cannot tear them apart…
Perhaps they are not the stars, but rather openings in Heaven where the love of our lost ones pours through and shines down upon us to let us know they are happy…”

Family quarrels have a total bitterness unmatched by others. Yet it sometimes happens that they also have a kind of tang, a pleasantness beneath the unpleasantness, based on the tacit understanding that this is not for keeps; that any limb you climb out on will still be there later for you to climb back
-- Mignon McLaughlin

I think people that have a brother or sister don't realize how lucky they are. Sure, they fight a lot, but to know that there's always somebody there, somebody that's family -- Trey Parker

Translation Lyric

All women desire a place to belong
But how can passion always preserve its temperature
Tears are integral attachments to happiness, but I tame them.

Finally one day I saw it clearly
To have loved or hated are both blessed forms of happiness
This road's journey, whether the scenery contains wondrous splendor,
Or leads to a doomed dead-end
Are all part of yesterday's bittersweet memories.

Every person has a gift to offer:
To devote oneself to another.
Never having experienced a persisting heartbreak pain,
One wouldn't know how to treasure the gift in one's hands.

Every familiar joyful and rueful emotion
Hidden in the warmest depth of the heart
Even princes and princesses cannot escape sorrowful tears
The greatest gift is to courageously continue to love.

Finally one day I saw it clearly
To have loved or hated are both blessed forms of happiness
This road's journey, whether the scenery contains wondrous splendor,
Or leads to a doomed dead-end
Are all part of yesterday's bittersweet memories.

Every familiar joyful and rueful emotion
Hidden in the warmest depth of the heart

The greatest gift is to courageously continue to love.

Today I have perceived the epiphany. Today is the gift.

Inspired by Taylor Momsen

004

Who doesn’t know her, Taylor Momsen as Jenny Humprey on the mega-successful TV show Gossip Girl. Besides that, she’s also a budding rocker with her own band. Look at her style, who believe she’s only 16 years old.

Personally, I love her style, a bad girl image (I mean her is not a feminine or princess image). She like black, smokey dark eye make up, ripped jeans and anything that gives off a tough-girl vibe.

So the key elements of her style is:

- black colour which is definitely been her color of choice over the past year. Seems like Taylor is definitely a fan of monochrome

- a bad-girl detail such as studs, silver sequins, rips, chains, etc as she is never plays safe with her accessories

- high heels is a must to make her look even more modelesque

- patterned tights

Some make up tips ( all about bold lips and eyes):

For lips, prime lips with a lip balm and lip liner around the ridge of your lips to prevent feathering or bleeding. Recommended “Too Faced Border Line Anti-Feathering Lip Pencil” because it’s clear so you can wear it with every lipstick you own! Once you’re prepped, take a fabulous berry or brick red lipstick (with a hint of a blue undertone) and apply carefully–this is a good time to break out your lip brush if you have one so you can control the color perfectly.

To tackle Jenny’s rocker chick eyes, load up on black liner and black mascara. This season, Jenny has transitioned from a super smokey eye and nude lip to a darkly-rimmed eye and bright lip, so you don’t need to worry about super dark eye shadows. First put a wash of gray over your lid and crease. Then, rim insides and outsides of eyes in black liner. Top it off with a few layers of black mascara, and you’re ready to be a moody artistic genius.fyen[8]

Yoann Gourcuff : The Next Big Thing from France

World cup 2010 is a hot topic today…Everyone ask me if I do watch these matches or not…and I will say “no”, “not really” because I don’t know them and out of so-called “football” things ages ago. And I just say that there’s no main reason why should I watch these matches, but I’m wrong…I make a mistake hahaha…until my friend told and introduce me some of cute and handsome footballer…And I think it would be nice to share it with everyone here….hahaha…

This cute little boy (haha…since I’m older than him), known from my friend and he is new in this World Cup 2010…he is cute right? I think he is a lil bit like Ricky Martin. Well, maybe he will be one of my aim to watch World cup this year:P

* Name: Yoan Gouffran
* Position: Forward
* Date of birth (age): 25/05/1986
* Country: France
* Club: Bordeaux ( France FRA )
* Height: 175cm
* Weight: 70kg
* UEFA competition debut:
* Club: UEFA Champions League (Group stage)
16/09/08: Chelsea 4 – 0 Bordeaux
* National team: European Under-19 Championship (First qualifying round)
28/09/04: France 2 – 1 Armenia

France has a new general and his name is Yoann Gourcuff. He may provide an answer to the old question of who will succeed Zinedine Zidane as the world’s best playmaker. Gourcuff, who exploded at Bordeaux last season after a disappointing spell with AC Milan, has it all. Like Zidane, he has that functional flair, lust for labor and ability to redirect entire soccer games with difficult and simple passes alike, seldom overstepping his boundaries. While he has yet to play his 17th game for France, he is unquestionably its conductor, leading his choir in beautiful hymns of soccer.

Scouting thumbnail: Very creative, technical playmaker who excels playing in the hole. Outrageous array of tricks and dribble moves and artistic vision.
